As is known to all, following the COVID-19 pandemic, international institutions such as the World Health Organization have recommended that world governments establish more restrictive measures for the people mostly in social interaction, all with the purpose of decrease the growth rate of the coronavirus.
Due to the above, our habitats Delphinus Xcaret and Delphinus Xel-Há have been closed to the public since March 23, 2020, while the habitats Interactive Aquarium Cancún, Delphinus Puerto Morelos, Delphinus Punta Cancún, Delphinus Riviera Maya and Delphinus Playa Mujeres are closed to the public since last March 25.
As we have previously communicated, and thanking to the professionalism and love for animals of our animal welfare experts, such as veterinarians and handlers, we have formed teams that will be in charge of the health and well-being of our population of dolphins and other aquatic animals establishing programs of environmental enrichment necessary to stimulate them physically and mentally during this time. We will also ensure that our staff have everything they need to be protected and comfortable during this period.
Meanwhile, at Delphinus for a brilliant blue planet we are preparing to serve our visitors who are eager to live the experience of interacting with our dolphins and therefore we are awaiting government authorization to reopen our doors to the public.
