Delphinus improves its swim with dolphins

Delphinus, the most renowned dolphinarium chain in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, announces that beginning February 1, 2011, its PRIMAX 4 swim with dolphins program will be offered for a limited time in Delphinus Dreams Cancun and Delphinus Riviera Maya with less swimmers per group. As of that date, the groups will be made up of no more than four persons, rather than the usual six persons that the program has been operating with.

Alfonso Fernandez, Commercial Director of this 100% Mexican-owned company, remarked, “In Delphinus, we have always clearly understood that the people who swim with dolphins are seeking to fulfill a dream, and they want to enjoy every minute to the maximum. For this reason, our programs are designed to offer the best possible experience of interacting with these cetaceans. At this time, we have found that the best way to fulfill that dream is to reduce the number of people swimming in each group, which means each person will have more time with the dolphins. This gives us the opportunity to offer better service and personalize the experience to a degree that will be very difficult to imitate. This will be a new element of product differentiation that will make our programs more attractive and exclusive to the consumer. It will undoubtedly facilitate the work performed by our distribution channel - travel and tour agencies – because in addition to offering smaller PRIMAX swim groups, the price will remain the same.”

The PRIMAX 4 swim includes a 50-minute swim with the dolphins. One of the most spectacular, highly anticipated moments of this program is the “footpush”, where the dolphins push the swimmers’ feet to help them churn through the water. An additional, not-to-be-missed attraction is giving kisses and hugs to these charismatic marine mammals. Services included in the PRIMAX 4 program are round-trip local transportation along with a towel and locker for each participant’s use, so they practically only need to bring a change of clothes.
